The Ocean Cleanup is a Dutch non-profit organisation with a mission of ridding the world’s oceans of plastics. The NGO is providing funding, expertise and technology – Interceptor™ Barriers, fitted at the mouths of gullies, and the Interceptor™ Tender- the vessel to collect waste and transport to an offloading site.

Clean Harbours Jamaica’s mission is the systematic cleanup and restoration of natural harbours and gullies and streams. They are the local operators of the Interceptor™ Tender and are responsible for the maintenance of the barriers and the management of the Offloading Site.

The restoration of the Kingston Harbour has been a long-standing area of focus for the GraceKennedy Group through the GraceKennedy Foundation (GKF). GKF provides project facilitation, donor fund management, coordination of beach cleanups, volunteer activities and stakeholder outreach.

Mona GeoInformatics Institute (MGI) serves as the GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Software Development hub for the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus. MGI provides GIS services and technical skills critical to ongoing project research.
